Fire Opal

The Fire Opal is an unusual variety of opal from Mexico, with colors ranging from yellow to orange and orange-red. Like the familiar opal, the fire opal is hydrated silicon dioxide. But unlike the traditional opal, many Mexican opals are clear enough for facets.
Play of color, body color and transparency are the three criteria which determine the price of a fire opal. The more transparency and 'fire' it has, and the more intense the deep red of its body color, the more valuable it will be. The rarest, and thus the mo
st highly esteemed, is the intense orange-red fire opal from Mexico with its strong play of color.

Rutilated quartz

While most varieties of transparent quartz are valued most when they show no inclusions, some are valued chiefly because of them! The most popular of these is known as rutilated quartz. Rutilated quartz is transparent rock crystal with golden needles of rutile arrayed in patterns inside it.
Each pattern is different and some are breathtakingly beautiful. The inclusions are sometimes called Venus hair. Less well known is a variety called tourmalinated quartz which, instead of golden rutile, has black or dark green tourmaline crystals.

Meteorites

Iron meteorites have been linked to M-type asteroids since both types of objects have similar spectral characteristics in the visible and near-infrared wavelength regions. Iron meteorites are thought to be the fragments of the cores of larger ancient asteroids that have been shattered by impacts. The heat released from the radioactive decay of the short-lived nuclides is considered as a plausible cause for the melting and differentiation of their parent bodies in the early solar system
Chrysoprase

Chrysoprase is a very rare and beautiful gemstone; it usually has an apple green color or at times takes on a deep green color. Chrysoprase is a type of quartz, it contains a slight amount of nickel which gives it its color and at times is confused with Jade.
Chrysoprase has a hardness of about 7 to 8 and is a great gemstone to be shaped into beads or other shapes. Today, it can be found on many pieces of ornamental jewelry and is popular in Europe, the United States, Australia and Asia.
Many people still possess Chrysoprase for its mystical and medicinal qualities. For instance, today in Asia, particularly China, Chrysoprase is used to balance out the yin and yang or Chi. In India, it is said to help mend a broken heart. Chrysoprase is mined in Queensland and is sometimes called Australian Jade. It is sometimes even confused with Imperial Jade.

Cat's Eye Sunstone

Sunstone is a plagioclase feldspar with a unique glitter from platelets of hematite. Typically it has a red, more rarely a blue or green, glitter. Cat's eye Sunstones are known but rare. Deposits are found in India, Canada, Madagascar, Norway, Russia and the USA.
Dendritic Agate

Dendritic Agate is a part of the big Chalcedony family. The chemical formula is SiO2.
The composition is silicon dioxide. Dendritic agate is probably the most amazing mineral of this family – because of its beautiful patterns resembling trees or bushes, which may be strikingly realistic.
Dendritic Agate is believed to aid in communication with the plants and animals, in
understanding the Nature. It is associated with the protection of the earth, rain, prosperity, abundance, healing, restoration and creativity. It helps to improve self esteem and emotional balancing, it also helps to start new friendships.
